With a delicious menu creatively curated by Adrian Tan, culinary artist and head chef of Curios-City, guests will dine on food pairings intrinsically related to an anthology of personal narratives. Here, audiences embark on a journey of the past and present through hearty generational recipes and the warmth of shared meals.
YAM SENG LAH! promises an immersive, interactive, and sensorial journey into the rich tapestry of life stories, culinary heritage, and Malaysian culture. It is the story of our families, identities, and histories, fostering connections that transcend boundaries through the universal language of food.
Premiering at George Town Festival 2024, we invite you for a truly memorable family reunion; an experience reflective of the people who came before, and the people we are today.

Meet Adrian Tan, Head Chef & Culinary Artist
Adrian Tan, 25, hails from Kelantan, Malaysia, and serves as the Head Chef of Curios-City and Culinary Artist for Yam Seng Lah!. A graduate of UOW College, Adrian is the brains behind the decadent offerings at Curios-City, earning the restaurant its consecutive Michlin selections for 2023 & 2024. Adrian's philosophy is to highlight the richness of Penang's diverse cultural and ethnic flavours, often sourcing inspirations from local markets and bringing creative interpretations to each plate. Adrian aspires to offer diners a profound appreciation for local cuisine through innovative presentation and techniques, cementing his growing reputation as a culinary artist dedicated to elevating Malaysian gastronomy.
